Dr. M. Glenn Barker is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. He has been active in the practice of Dentistry for 33 years in Rock Hill, where he has provided quality dental care to thousands of patients. Dr. Barker strives to excel and stay on the cutting edge of Dentistry by regularly participating in continuing education courses and seminars. He and his professional, friendly staff aim to earn your trust and provide quality dental care in a relaxed, pain-free environment.
Dr. Barker schedules his appointments in a way to be able to take the time to listen, answer all questions and perform quality treatment on his valued patients. All treatment is explained thoroughly with audio and video aids to help you, the patient, understand dental procedures that may be new to you.
Dr. Barker is accepting new patients and will be happy to assist you with your dental needs so you may keep your teeth healthy for a lifetime. Dr. Barker and his wife, Jean, have 7 children and are members of First Baptist Church of Rock Hill.

"My family moved to Rock Hill in 1975. At church, we met the wonderful family of Glenn Barker. As soon as he went into private practice, I knew I wanted him to be our family dentist. There are reasons why I have stayed a patient of Glenn's. (Since we were friends first, I call him Glenn, but know he is Dr. Barker!)
First, I trust him. Whenever I have needed dental care, he has advised me with options. Once, I was making a poor decision about my dental care, he called me at home to explain why my choice had undesirable consequences. I then followed his advice. Every time I have had "emergencies", he (or Dr. Anna Chacknes) has helped me through the experience. He was wonderful with both of my children who needed braces.
Second, he keeps current about procedures. I am an avid reader and no sooner than I read about a procedure, I go to the dentist for a routine check-up and discover that Dr. Barker and Dr.Chacknes have already implemented it! When I read about a new mouth wash that helps to kill sore throat viruses, they already had it available for purchase. That saved me "sick days" from the job. (I didn't miss an unscheduled day in 32 years!)
Third, he makes excellent hiring decisions. The staff at his office is caring and friendly. Each seems truly interested in each patient and will help as much as possible. I really like his idea of having the assistant "pat" my arm to distract me when he gives an injection. The on-the-job training of these employees must make clear the philosophy of patient care as of primary importance.
These are a few reasons I have been a patient of Dr. Barker's for more than thirty years. I recommend him every chance I get."
